The 2012 edition of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation’s Tree of Hope Campaign raised $1,459,072. As in previous years, the radiothon was held at the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) in Dieppe and broadcast on Radio-Canada Acadie (Radio). The last hour was also broadcast on Radio-Canada television.
The Tree of Hope Radiothon is the culminating point of a year-long campaign. Numerous volunteers, throughout the province of New Brunswick, have contributed their time and efforts to organize fund-raising activities. These funds will be used to enhance the quality of health care for people with cancer in the province. The Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation contributes to the development of the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre, improves the quality of care for patients staying at the Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge and enhances cancer research efforts.
